Hi!
Heekyung Kim is a projection designer working across 2D and 3D media for live performance. Originally from South Korea and now based in New York, she creates projection and animation work that integrates narrative, spatial design, and digital technology.
Her recent credits include Maybe Happy Ending and Real Women Have Curves on Broadway, The Thing About Jellyfish at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, The Queen of Versailles at Emerson Colonial Theatre, Redwood on Broadway, Ragtime at New York City Center, Highway Patrol at Goodman Theatre, and international productions of Beetlejuice. Upcoming work includes GUT at HERE Arts Center. She continues to develop new projects across major venues, spanning musicals, operas, dance, and multimedia performance.
Kim is a member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829. She holds an MFA in Live Design and Production, with an emphasis in Integrated Media for Live Performance, from the University of Texas at Austin.
